Welcome to Saltdean

Living at Coombe Farm means more than just a beautiful home, it means becoming part of a vibrant, close-knit coastal community with the South Downs behind you and the sea ahead.

Saltdean is a place where everything feels within reach: great schools, independent shops, green spaces, and the shimmering sea all combine to offer a lifestyle that's both grounded and full of possibility. With direct access from the development onto the South Downs, it’s easy to lose yourself in rolling hills and big skies, be it a romantic evening stroll, weekend adventures with the kids, or a daily dog walk that starts just steps from your front door.

Saltdean Lido

The Beating Heart of the Community

At the centre of Saltdean life stands its proudest landmark, the Grade II* listed Saltdean Lido. A stunning piece of modernist architecture, it has welcomed generations of swimmers, sun-seekers, and socialites since 1938. More than just an outdoor pool, this restored icon brings people together all year round. From morning laps in the 40-metre heated pool and family time in the splash zone, to weekend saunas, yoga sessions, the annual Dogtember for a month of dog swim sessions, open-air cinema nights, seasonal celebrations, a variety of community groups & workshops, not to mention being the home to Saltdean Public Library, the lido is a space for connection, wellbeing, and joy.

Eat Well, Live Well

Saltdean’s local eateries are perfect for spontaneous brunches, slow Sunday lunches, or simply grabbing your coffee just the way you like it.

There’s always a warm welcome at the Salt Café, where brunch plates are piled high with flavour, homemade bakes come fresh from the oven, and locally sourced gifts can be perused and purchased. For something comforting and classic, the Saltdean Tavern serves up a daily carvery, while the Coffee Corner is a favourite for all-day breakfasts.

For those with a love of Italian food, VIP (Very Italian Pizza) and the Crocodile Café bring authentic flavours straight from Italy, and of course, no coastal village would be complete without a proper chippy, Saltdean Fish Bar has you covered for crispy, golden classics.

Coastline Adventures

East of Saltdean, the landscape stretches into adventure.

Beyond the neighbouring villages and cliff-top paths lie the iconic Seven Sisters, where walking, cycling, kayaking, and even stargazing are all part of life outdoors. Whether it’s a day hike or a weekend paddleboarding trip, nature here isn’t a getaway, it’s your everyday.

Brighton & Hove

Brighton & Hove has a rich natural landscape being perfectly positioned between the countryside and the coast, with undoubtedly some of the most striking architecture in the country.

Underlying the city’s obvious aesthetic appeal, is the sense of fun and creativity, which seems to draw so many people to live here.
